On the shore of Lake Laugarvatn sits a little SLICE of heaven called Laugarvatn Fontana. @fontanaiceland is an incredible place on Iceland’s Golden Circle where you can not only stop and take a break in their amazing steam baths, relaxing pools, and Finnish-style sauna, but do something I’m willing to bet you’ve never done before... ...eat rye bread cooked for 24 hours by the boiling water in the ground from geothermal heat! What? Yep! The ground is so hot it is literally boiling water! Once you find these hot spots you can cook on them. I know. It’s insane but they know what they’re doing.
