DAY 🩵 Today we celebrate 7 years of the release of Hozier’s second studio album, a work that arrived just before the world fully shifted, as both a love letter and a quiet statement. Blending soul, blues, folk, and jazz influences, the record expanded his sound while deepening his lyricism — exploring political unrest, environmental anxiety, chaos, intimacy and vulnerability in equal measure. It debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 (alongside multiple recognitions), marked a bold expansion of his sound, and solidified Hozier not just as a songwriter — but as a storyteller of the modern age. This album holds a very special place in my heart, and with it the whole ‘Wasteland, Baby!’ era that we lived together, the tour, press, interviews, the live performances and poems during the pandemic!
