Kierra Ready, a featured artist in this year's Art & Soul, believes Black history is more than just survival—it’s brilliance, innovation, and boundless creativity. "Too often," she says, "The Black experience is framed solely through struggle, but Black culture has never been just about what has been endured—it’s about what has been created, built, and transformed. From music to literature, fashion to fine art, architecture to activism, Black people have shaped every corner of American life." This month (and always), Kierra wants to highlight the full picture—Black joy, genius, and legacy. “Black history isn’t just about what happened to us; it’s about what we made happen." #ArtandSoul #BlackHistoryEveryDay #BlackExcellence
