Finisher. Fighto.
One step at a time. It was always about the journey, not simply the destination. That was my ethos.
It took me 6 hours and 26 minutes, but I did it. My first marathon( and probably my last lol) is officially complete.
I did it because I can and for the plot. And along the way, it confirmed that we can do anything we put our minds to. This was such a test of persistence.
Shout out to Davon for planting the seed, for nursing me back to health after I got sick two days before race day, and for cheering and running beside me through all 42 km.
Thank you to the people of Osaka for the cheers, the warmth, and foood. And to my tribe, thank you for the messages, the advice, and prayers,
Welp, I am officially one of those thirty somethings who ran a marathon. And I did it in Japan. You will absolutely never hear the end of this.
If I can do it, literally anyone can.
All glory to God.
