#NEWS - One person was killed, and two others were wounded Sunday in a brazen daytime shooting in downtown Long Beach, unfolding just steps away from the grand opening of a new location of #NipseyHussle’s #MarathonBurger restaurant. Three victims were transported from the scene by ambulance, including one in critical condition, according to Long Beach Fire Capt. Jack Crabtree. Authorities later confirmed that one of the victims succumbed to their injuries. Large crowds had gathered hours earlier for the highly anticipated opening of Marathon Burger, which featured a ribbon-cutting ceremony led by #SnoopDogg, who played a key role in bringing the popular Los Angeles-based fast-food chain to Long Beach. Police said Sunday evening that the motive, the circumstances surrounding the shooting, and any suspect information remain under active investigation.
