Sometimes Aria Santanna doesn’t hear her name called from the other end of the Central Dauphin girls basketball bench. The warm-up jacket stays on. Her role shifts from contributor to cheerleader. Monday’s District 3 Class 6A opener against rival Cumberland Valley couldn’t have been further from the scenario. Santanna, appearing in her first postseason affair, was the ignition to the Rams’ engine, draining 11 bench points in a 55-31 romping of the Eagles at Central Dauphin High School. The freshman scored six points in a 14-2 second-quarter run that turned a one-point lead into a pendulum-swaying, 13-point halftime advantage. Watch highlights from the game.
