There was a play in the third quarter of Wednesday’s Cumberland Valley-CD East game that sent the Eagles’ bench into a frenzy.
It wasn’t a thunderous dunk or a killer step-back, but instead a hustle play. A dive by Kam Wolfe led to a transition layup by Kam Wolfe, forcing a timeout after putting CV up 16.
It was those plays the Eagles knew they need to have to reverse an early-season loss to CD East. They made more than enough of them, coming up with a 58-36 win over the Panthers in a game that saw CD East star Alijah Cooper set the program’s all-time scoring record.
