They are undermining the Amazon Soy Moratorium, one of the most important agreements to protect the Amazon from deforestation for soy as animal feed.
And those responsible have names: AMAGGI, BUNGE, CARGILL, LOUIS DREYFUS COMPANY (LDC), FIAGRIL, among other large soy exporters. They have not given any public explanation, but their logos have disappeared from the agreement's website.
Many claim they remain committed to zero deforestation.
