On reality TV, nice guys finish last. But isn’t it really the women that end up losing? Recent seasons of popular reality dating shows like “Love is Blind” and “The Bachelorette” have featured eligible women looking to find love with men who range from unserious to unsafe. And many viewers are tired of it. Current screening practices (or perhaps an intentional lack thereof) are obviously not working — and it’s putting women through needless pain and in potentially unsafe situations. Watching women repeatedly get hurt is not good TV. These shows need to find better ways to protect women, or we may just change the channel.
