Western Washington is getting absolutely soaked right now 🌧️. A massive atmospheric river pulled in straight from the Pacific and it’s been dumping nonstop rain across the whole region. An atmospheric river is basically a huge stream of warm, moisture packed air that forms over the ocean and aims all that water at us at once. This one built up near Hawaii and pushed right into the PNW, which is why the rain feels warmer and way heavier than normal

Rivers like the Snoqualmie, Skagit, and Cowlitz are rising fast and some spots are already dealing with legit flooding 🌊. The ground is already soaked, drains are overwhelmed, and the water is stacking up faster than crews can handle
