Back in 2009, after a full beach day in the Hamptons, I decided to try to get to a specialty store before it closed for the day. loavesandfishesfoodstore was owned by Anna Pump and I knew of it from the Barefoot Contessa show. Ina and Anna were dear friends and Anna often appeared on her show. I loved the vibe and food of both! I arrived at the store 5 minutes after they closed but they allowed me in. I wasn’t there more than 2 minutes when from out back walked Anna. I almost died but I definitely fan-girled. “Miss Pump, would you mind signing my cookbook? (yes... I travel with my cookbooks 🙄)and taking a photo with me?” I asked. “Of course” she responded.
