Extended versions of a few of my favorite shots from thepwhlofficial Halifax Takeover Tour game that made it into our “Tender” documentary and a few that didn’t. The middle point of our 8-day Tender shoot was the Takeover Tour matchup between pwhl_fleet and pwhl_charge - our two goalie subjects going head-to-head in what would surely be an epic showdown. Then deannahong and I heard the night before we flew in that Gwyneth Philips would most likely be a healthy scratch so they could rest her. Not ideal! So instead of being this culminating moment in the doc and a chance to get the two of them together on screen, it became just another opportunity to shoot. I got what I could of aerin.frankel, tried to capture some cinematic B-roll and then really focused on scouring the packed arena for signs. Those efforts paid off!
