Hello?! Is anybody out there? ✨👽
The M13 star cluster, also known as the Hercules Cluster or NGC 6205, is a globular cluster located in the constellation Hercules. It was discovered by Edmond Halley in 1714 and later cataloged by Charles Messier in 1764. M13 is one of the brightest and best-known globular clusters in the northern sky, situated about 22,200 light-years away from Earth. It contains several hundred thousand stars, tightly bound by gravity into a spherical shape, with a dense core and a more diffuse outer region. M13 is visible with the naked eye under dark skies and can be observed in greater detail using binoculars or small telescopes.
