Student scams are specifically targeted at university students and the most common ones include: - Phishing Scams: emails, phone calls and text messages supposedly from Student Finance, HMRC, UKVI, Home Office, etc. - Tuition fee scams: Students are contacted and offered discounts or ‘help’ to pay their tuition fees - Rental scams: Properties advertised to rent through social media that are either unavailable or do not exist at all - Scams targeting international students: Criminals assume international students may be unfamiliar with UK systems or are far from home, so may target them directly If you need advice or support, our Student Services team are here to help #NSMW #FraudPrevention #LboroFamily
