At 23 Brook Street in Mayfair, London, Jimi Hendrix once called the top-floor of the apartment complex his "first real home." It was here in 1968–1969 that the place would become his creative refuge where he would relax in between tours, write and rehearse, conduct interviews, and immerse himself in London life at the height of his fame. Today, the apartment has been restored as part of the Handel & Hendrix House Museum, allowing visitors to step inside a recreation of Hendrix’s living space, complete with period details that reflect how he lived. Just next door lived another fellow musician, composer George Frideric Handel, nearly 200 years earlier—a unique meeting of two musical legacies separated by time, but united under the same address. __ #pigeonsandplanes #jimihendrix #london #blues #rock
