A Night of Honor 🤺🔥 Our final home meet of the season was more than just a competition—it was a tribute. On Senior Night, we celebrated our incredible Class of 2025 while honoring the legacy of Captain Wayne Brooks Jr. ’99, a former Gray Bee fencer and Newark firefighter who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. Captain Brooks Jr. was a member of the first minority Sabre fencing team, “The Gray Bees,” to make it to the Junior Olympics, representing St. Benedict’s. His legacy of excellence, dedication and service continues to inspire us all. With his family in attendance, our team fenced with passion and purpose, embodying the spirit of resilience and brotherhood that defines St. Benedict’s.
