For the first time since 1972, football is back at St. Benedict's! The Girls Division flag football team held its opening scrimmage, a razor-close game ending in a 12-12 tie. The first gridiron match in 52 years even had alums Jonathan Nelson '83, Phil Whyte '83 and Steve Wright ’83 coming back to watch! Excited for the sport's return, The Hive came out strong and the stands were full of students cheering on both teams. Stay tuned to Gray Bee Sports because this season is sure to be one to watch! ➡️ The first official flag football game is on April 5, right here at St. Benedict's Prep. #TheHive #GrayBees #GrayBeeSports #Newark #NewJersey #FlagFootball #Athletics
