This morning in Titusville, Florida, we joined city leaders, researchers, community members, and local media at the Municipal Marina to mark the start of the Indian River lagoon water quality and restoration initiative.
The Indian River Lagoon is one of the most biodiverse estuaries in North America and remains closely tied to the environmental, economic, and cultural well-being of Titusville. It supports local wildlife, recreation and tourism, making its long-term health essential to the community’s future.
Moleaer's technology has been deployed to improve oxygen conditions, especially near the bottom of the lagoon, where low oxygen can contribute to nutrient release and algae pressure. Scientific monitoring led by the Florida Institute of Technology is in place to track performance over time.
The Indian River Lagoon matters deeply to the Titusville community and today marked an important step toward protecting and strengthening it.
We appreciate the leadership from the City of Ti...
