Another queer icon is headed to the #MCU! 👏 The #BlackPantherWakandaForever trailer premiered at #SDCC over the weekend, revealing #MichaelaCoel's character in the highly anticipated #BlackPanther sequel. The #IMayDestroyYou actress will play Aneka, a member of the Dora Milaje who starts out as rivals with fellow member Ayo (portrayed by #FlorenceKasumba) before they become a couple in the comics. The trailer focuses on how #Wakanda fights to protect their world after the death of #TChalla and the nation's new class of leaders. While we don't know how much of a role Aneka and Ayo's relationship will play in the film, our fingers are crossed that #Marvel takes this opportunity to make a LGBTQ+ relationship part of such an iconic franchise. 🌈
