The ISS lunar transit in front of the full snow Moon, captured on February 25th 2024 at 02:03:14 am
I used two dslr cameras to capture the transit. The last 3x slowed footage shows a dust particle moving in a weird pattern, this is because the video is stabilized since the telescope was shaky during the capture
The final image is an HDR image of the stack sequence. I extracted the video frames that contained the ISS and stacked them in photoshop using the “minimum” algorithm.
The sequence that is showing outside the Moon disc is actually a duplicate sequence that was extracted from the Moon disc and placed in the sky to make up the esthetics and logic of the image.
If you’re wondering how I planned the shot, i used a website called ISS transit finder.
The final image is 45 megapixels and it’s available for purchase/print in my website.
Enjoy!
