Ops manager Tony shared his incredible story of winning gold at the Invictus Games, as well as the tumultuous moments that led him to Amazon.
Tony had always wanted to join the British Army, but in 2009, his vehicle struck a mine in Afghanistan and resulted in a life-changing decision to amputate his leg.
The Invictus Games, a multi-sport, international event for wounded, injured and sick servicemen and women, arrived at the right time. For Tony it marked the end of his rehab and recovery—and a fresh start.
Tony is now senior operations manager at
#LCY3 in the UK. “Amazon’s done so much for military veterans. They see the value in what we can bring to different teams that exist and helping others.”
Amazon is the official ticket sponsor for this year’s Invictus Games in Germany.
