Ray Trask’s path to process assistant wasn’t easy. But he has no doubt: It was worth it. Late last year, Ray moved into a process assistant role at
#PDX9. He says three main tips made it possible.
1️⃣ Don’t get discouraged.
“As someone who has applied to be a process assistant more than enough times to count, I can definitely say, don’t give up,” Ray said.
2️⃣ Ask for help.
When Ray first began the interview process, he realized his resume needed some work. Ray leaned on his leaders for advice and asked for suggestions. He says it was key to his success.
3️⃣ Practice makes perfect.
It took Ray a few tries to become a process assistant. But he thinks the repetition actually worked in his favor.
“The more you pursue, the better you get,” Ray said. “You get better at writing your resume, interviewing in general, and learning how Amazon does interviews with the STAR format.”
Congratulations, Ray! 🎉👏
