nwsl 📸 FOR victoryplustv in Los Angeles earlier this year. - This shoot seemed doomed for a while. We were supposed to fly to LA right as the enormous ice storm hit Dallas. After 8.5 hours of delays and having to deboard the plane because the crew forgot to do a security check we were finally off to LA. However, my lighting modifiers didn’t make the flight. Another fun problem I realized in the air was that I removed the power cables from my pelican with the lights in it because it was a pound over weight and put them in with the modifiers. Luckily profotos use one of the most universal power cables and I was able to pick some up at Home Depot when we landed in LA. Obviously since my lighting modifiers weren’t going to make it I had to figure out a way to light these women in a flattering way with bare heads. Yikes. Luckily my assistant in LA that picked up all of my grip had also grabbed a 6x6 scrim Jim that we could use to soften things a bit. - This was a 4 light setup. I used a b...
