People often say to me “I dont know how you did it with twins” or “I can barely imagine doing it with two” and the truth of the matter is, I don’t remember.. I don’t know whether that’s some kind of response that our brain puts in place after too many sleepless nights or too much anxiety over what the kids are eating or if they’re getting enough breast milk or if they had enough dirty diapers.. But what I do know is that my memories of my kids as babies are very minimal. I look at pictures and sometimes remember beautiful things we did together or activities we had but a lot of it is a blur..
