Britney Spears spent several hours inside Ventura County Jail early Thursday after a late-night arrest by the California Highway Patrol.
Custody records show the pop superstar was taken into custody around 9:30 p.m. Wednesday and formally booked by the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office around 3 a.m. She was released shortly after 6 a.m., according to jail officials.
