Megan Keller – who scored the gold-medal winning goal – is partnering with NHL Foundation U.S. to give a $100,000 donation to support girls’ hockey. The donation will go to two organizations, one in her hometown Detroit, and one in current home, Boston. This will be the third girls’ hockey donation by the NHL Foundation in the past two years. Keller will work with former teammate and current NHL Foundation U.S. ambassador Haley Skarupa, who has helped oversee $100,000 in girls’ hockey donations. Together, they will be supported by NHL Foundation U.S. president Kim Davis.
