Head of School Dr. Jonathan Levy and Principal Renee Cohen ’96 have been in Israel since the war began. Over the past week, they’ve been sharing notes with our school community, and as we head into Shabbat, we thought we’d sign off by sharing their most recent update: As we prepare to enter Shabbat here in Jerusalem, we wanted to share a brief update with you. These have been difficult days, defined by uncertainty and the harsh realities of war. For the most part, the city is quiet and deserted; streets and hotels are empty, and most restaurants are closed or limited to takeout. Thank G-d, we remain safe, and most importantly, we feel safe. Notwithstanding feeling “stuck,” we remain in a country we deeply love, a place we still view as the best in the world.
