Why give on #ElonDay? Because scholarships empower students to explore the power of storytelling and free expression. Monika Jurevicius ’27, a journalism and public health double major from Palatine, Illinois, is a recipient of the Stanley Albright Cook and Grace Lillian Lane Cook Endowed Scholarship and the Lumen Prize. Her research on free speech in Lithuania was inspired by her family’s history living under censored speech during the Soviet era. Through mentorship from Elon faculty and experiences with elonnewsnetwork and the School of Communications’ “Comm Pod,” Monika said she has grown as a media researcher and storyteller – using journalism to help others. On Elon Day, gifts to scholarships help students like Monika turn personal history into meaningful research and impactful storytelling. To make a gift to #ElonComm, use the link in our bio!
