My Thoughts: Cracking and regrading can be profitable, if done right. Do I do it? I don’t. I just don’t simply have the time, patience, or willingness to wait several months for a new grade to hopefully hit. BUT, I do know people who are profitable doing it if you have the patience. The key thing is buying at the right price, and of course, having a good eye for condition. In the flip side, could also be pretty risky. This customer spent a good amount of time at my booth, and was a good kid, so took away the risk of him losing on the card in case his regrade wasn’t what he thought it would be, which was my thought process on the lower price.
