TODAY WE PLAY…… One of Duke’s most popular student traditions each year is for the Duke vs UNC men’s basketball game. Approximately 1500 students pitch 130 tents in Krzyzewskiville for 4-6 weeks before the game 😳 Here’s how it works: Jan. 18-Jan. 28 (Black Tenting Period)- These are Duke’s CRAZIEST fans. They camp the longest in K-Ville and take a Duke basketball trivia test to determine the order of entry into the stadium. Each black tent must have two people during the day and 10 people at night. Jan. 28-Feb 9 (Blue Tenting Period)- Both black and blue tents must have at least one member during the day and six people at night. Feb. 9-Feb. 14 (Wellness Week)- For five days students get a grace period to recharge during Wellness Week Feb. 14-Feb. 28 (White Tenting Period)- All tents follow White Tenting rules which requires at least one member during the day and two people at night. #tickpick #dukebasketball #dukebluedevils #uncbasketball #dukevsunc
