Just got this text from travishoward and am now reduced to tears because little did we know we had less than two months left with Leslie Jordan. BJ Thomas had just passed away. Here’s the thing that you should know about me and why I try to celebrate people. When I was barely seventeen my mom died and my world shifted. She was all into fresh flowers and gardening. So much so that she always instilled in us to give people their flowers while they could appreciate them. I know NOTHING about plants. Nothing. Had no clue that during winter some plants became dormant. I’ll never forget that during the winter her little garden looked pathetic. I actually thought we should dig out the dying plants and replace them with trees/flowers that would surely blossom. Thank God my sisters didn’t listen to me because that spring my mom’s plants blossomed. The last garden she’d planted grew. HER flowers grew.
