After one Carnival with carnivaltribe and I somehow left Trinidad with 3 Trini husbands (yes, they ALL cook and dance), 12 new aunties, 47 cousins, the best Carnival of my life, a costume I’ll be wearing every month for no reason, and 8 pounds of happy weight that I regret absolutely nothing about. This was my FIRST Carnival of MANY and I genuinely cannot see myself playing mas in Trinidad with anybody but TRIBE. 10/10...I recommend. The energy? Unmatched. The vibes? Elite. The organization? Chef’s kiss. I have sooo much to share with those of you interested in playing mas next year...stay tuned! And you already know I didn’t just show up for the road.
