Nashville native Megan Piphus, the first Black female puppeteer on Sesame Street, is using her voice and talent to help celebrate natural hair through the beloved character Gabrielle. In a new 30 second spot shared by Sesame Street, Gabrielle proudly sings about loving her hair while showing off different styles including braids and puffs. The video highlights the message behind the CROWN movement which stands for Create a Respectful and Open World for Natural Hair.
