She hit a grand slam, but what made me the proudest happened the inning before. With 2 outs and the inning about to end, she hustled and slid into 3rd to keep the team alive. She was safe, got a little banged up, but got right back up and stayed in the fight. The next batter came through with a hit that brought in two runs. That inning would have been over without her hustle and heart. Plays like that change games. Our girls battled hard and got another victory. Now 3-1 on the season. So proud of this team.
