Making the world’s largest serving of matzo ball soup (1,434 pounds of it) was one of the most challenging things I’ve ever done. I’m excited to share behind-the-scenes photos of what it took to pull this off. As a proud Jew, creating a record setting giant version of such an important Jewish dish meant the world to me. It took more than just me — eight incredible cooks, a professional scale company, an on-site food safety inspector, the amazing team at CityHarvestNYC to help facilitate the donation of the soup, the incredible team at OpenAI, and of course, endless help from ChatGPT!  My favorite way Chat helped me was when I asked to find a vessel to use as a bowl that could hold 160+ gallons of hot liquid. It suggested a 4-foot-diameter water trough lined with a massive food-grade liquid liner, and that is what I used and it worked perfectly!
