• McDonald’s Art Basel Week at Uncs Arte Haus was more than just another event for me. It was my best experience yet as THEE House Photographer. Being in rooms with people who have shaped culture reminded me why I picked up a camera in the first place. From buying Deon Cole comedy tickets, to being inspired by the work of Coodie and Lenny S, to growing up on Young Jeezy, the FAMU and KCP band pipeline (iykyk), and then sharing space with Hassan Johnson from a TV show I grew up on, all while having my Chicago family there watching my growth from my Leaders Intern days to now, every moment hit even deeper. Everything that helped shape who I am as a person and creative was in that room, and that was a sign I’m exactly where I’m supposed to be. I’m grateful for everyone who spoke my name in rooms and put that faith in me. Thank you for showing me where I belong and how far I can take it.
