Temple Station deputies are always on the lookout for suspicious activity, and one proactive deputy recently spotted a vehicle that was cold-plated. For those who may not know, “cold-plated” means someone has placed different license plates on a vehicle in an attempt to hide its identity—often to conceal a stolen vehicle or make it harder for law enforcement to track crimes. When the deputy attempted to detain the vehicle, the driver tried an interesting strategy to avoid contact with law enforcement… pulling into the In-N-Out drive-thru. Unfortunately for the suspect, deputies were not ordering off the menu. The attempt to blend in with the dinner crowd didn’t work, and the suspect was safely taken into custody. The only thing the suspect didn’t get that day was a warm burger in their cold-plated vehicle. Temple Station deputies will continue staying proactive to keep our communities safe—whether it’s on the roadway or the drive-thru lane. lasdhq cityofrosemead #innout #suspec...
