Fiesta Tigres artist spotlight with swfreddy Southwest Detroit was not somewhere that occupied my headspace until I had the privilege of doing this project. From the Bakeries to convenience stores, from Freddy's basement lab to the mural he did at the ballpark it was eye-opening. Seeing what Freddy's work meant to the community and what the community meant to him was a full circle moment I tried to shine a light on. Always hard to have limited time on a mid-season project but happy where this one ended up. Big shoutout to emilybarajas_ for the connection and production help.
