As the sun sets on International Women’s Day, I’m sitting here reflecting with a heart that is just so full. I am still completely overwhelmed with love and beyond thankful for everyone who showed up for me yesterday. Your presence was the greatest gift. It’s a powerful thing to be a woman. Just like so many of you, I know what it means to work hard, to take care of home, and to be the one who keeps things grounded when life gets tough. Today was a beautiful, deep reminder of the women I come from and the women who shaped me. I finally understand why I am the woman I am today, it’s because of the giants whose shoulders I stand on. To my mother and my grandmothers: thank you for every sacrifice you made.
