In 2021, the Military Services received 8,866 reports of sexual assault involving Service members as either victims or subjects, which is a 13 percent increase from reports made in 2020.

#InternationalDenimDay and Sexual Assault Awareness Month, the Virginia Tech Corps of Cadets is conducting focused training on sexual assault prevention and victim support.
Monday: Present misconceptions about sexual violence (myth busting)
Wednesday:- Present statistics about sexual violence
Thursday:- Research and programs that work to help people who experienced sexual violence
Friday: Discussions on why sexual assault prevention is essential for future leaders in our Corps, in the military, at VT and in civilian life, and discussion on reporting tools.
