Pa, Ma — I won an award 🥹 A year ago, if you asked me — back when I was still a corporate girlie — whether this could happen, I would have laughed and said absolutely not. But somehow, I still went ahead and chased my goal of becoming a full-time content creator. Along the way, I’ve been incredibly blessed. So many people and brands believed in me, and friends in the industry taught me so much. All of that shaped the creator I am today ❤️ Being the only independent creator to win in this category means so much to me. But more than that, it feels like a win for creators who care deeply about the craft they put out — all the late nights brainstorming, fine-tuning, and polishing things at the very last minute before submissions. At the end of the day, I think many of us creators just want to make good work — work that means something, work that people can relate to.
