The Cleveland Browns' 2026 quarterback competition might be the worst in NFL history. Deshaun Watson hasn't played a single game since October 2024 after re-tearing his Achilles, and was already struggling before that with just a 9-10 record in 19 career games as a Brown. Shedeur Sanders ranked 42nd out of 43 qualified quarterbacks in passer rating, touchdown-to-interception rate, and net yards per attempt last season. Dillon Gabriel got benched for Sanders after a Week 11 concussion. Meanwhile, Myles Garrett just set the NFL single-season sack record with 23, won his second Defensive Player of the Year, and has made it clear he wants to compete for a Super Bowl — not waste his prime on a rebuilding team.
