Here’s how to turn your iPhone into a high-quality camera in three simple steps.
STEP 1: Unlock Your Sensor. Download the Blackmagic Camera App. This free app unlocks full manual controls for your iPhone camera.
Once inside the app, dial in your settings (60 FPS/ 1/125 shutter speed, make sure to use an ND filter if outside) and shoot in Apple Log. Apple Log preserves more information in your image and avoids the oversharpened look of the native camera.
STEP 2: Use Multiple Focal Lengths. Your iPhone already has a 13mm–70mm lens range built in.
That means you can shoot: Wide shots, Medium shots, and Close-ups
If you intentionally switch focal lengths instead of staying on one lens, your footage will instantly feel more cinematic and dynamic.
