Today on House of Hobby we traveled to Scranton, Pennsylvania to visit Mace Coin and Cards, the oldest card shop in America. Located in its original storefront since 1957, this legendary hobby shop started as a rare coin collecting and luggage store before expanding into sports cards, trading cards, militaria, and one of the most unique treasure-hunting experiences in the hobby. Carl Sr. and Carl Jr. take us behind the scenes and share the incredible history of Mace. Along the way, they show off some unbelievable pieces, including never-before-seen Topps baseball cards test prints, uncut sheets, and even Rickey Henderson rookies printed without fronts. This place is packed with stories, baseball history, and hidden gems around every corner. It was great to learn about rare coins and how coin collecting helped this amazing shop.
