#MoodySpotlight: Meet utexasslhs junior Brooklyn Moody, who grew up just north of Austin in Pflugerville! Brooklyn is pursuing an SLHS degree because it offers so many opportunities to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives.
Building on her interest in helping people, Brooklyn shares, “I love that the field allows you to work with individuals of all ages and choose from many specialties, from speech and language disorders to hearing and cognitive communication. It’s a perfect blend of science, communication and helping others.”
Her decision to attend Moody College stemmed from its strong academics and a clear emphasis on collaboration, creativity and making a meaningful impact.
“Communication plays a role in everything, and I loved that Moody values working together and making a difference. Plus, my last name is Moody, so it felt like the perfect place to be!”
Reflecting on her time at Moody, she recalls that, like most students, her favorite memory was seeing Glen Powell...
