Stay tuned for more! DYK? After 75 years of leading the hospital, the Sisters of Mercy relinquished administrative leadership of St. Joseph’s in 1970. T. Abner Huff became St. Joseph’s first lay-person administrator, overseeing the hospital through a time of tremendous growth and challenges. Working with Mr. Huff, the Sisters of Mercy would continue to sponsor and serve the hospital and its patients. Their strong presence remained a driving force, and the hospital’s mission of helping those in need continues today.
