My family moved my freshman year and were no longer a 5 hour drive away, but a 9 hour flight away. This, in addition to starting college out of state, was a lot of change all at once. My #whykd has to be all of the times that so many KDs never hesitated to make me feel at home, even though it was so far away. Whether it was letting me stay at their house when everyone went home for the weekend or inviting me to thanksgiving dinner with their family, I always felt welcomed and at peace knowing how supported I am because of these women. I could not imagine having any other place or people as my support system throughout these past four years. I am forever grateful to have such strong, confident, and uplifting women in my life.”
