WORKER RECOVERING: The state DOT worker struck by an alleged drunk driver in Suffolk County is now home from the hospital. Police say 47-year-old Randolph Acum of Mastic was responding to a crash on the Long Island Expressway in Holtsville on Feb. 26 when he was hit by another vehicle and seriously injured. Acum was released from Stony Brook University Hospital on Tuesday and will continue recovering at home, according to the Department of Transportation.
