Cheers to the 90s when I had my emo phase, shaved my head, was on stage more than I was at school, partied, raved, traveled, and worked my ass off… while still trying to show up to class after being in the recording studio until 3am 🎤 Before my career as a yoga teacher, I actually toured Asia as a pop star. I had moved to Thailand with my parents and started modeling at 12 years old. One day, I was cast in a music video and was asked to sing. The next week I was recording my first CD. Good bye normal childhood 👋 I’d walk into sixth, seventh, eighth grade after touring for a month. Or show up the morning after being on live TV like “Hi, yes! I’m here for math”. Nothing was off limits and by 21, I had lived a full life and had a successful career. Which I promptly quit when I was pregnant with my daughter. I never hid my past from my kids. But you can’t quite paint a picture when they’re little. Being hell bent on giving them normal childhoods, I didn’t want them to experience that...
