So when someone cancels after a price increase, it can knock your confidence a bit. But here’s the bit we have to remind ourselves of. If we don’t raise our prices… we’re actually taking a pay cut. Colour goes up. Products go up. Rent goes up. Electric, foils, gloves, taxes… all of it. If your prices stay the same while everything else rises, you’re earning less for doing the exact same work. And none of us got into this industry to work harder every year just to earn less. Yes, sometimes a client will leave when prices change. But that space in your diary usually gets filled by someone new. Someone who values your work, trusts your advice and respects your time. So if you’ve raised your prices...
